Sally Mann At The Corcoran

The movie What Remains played at The Corcoran last night. It's a documentary about the life and work of Sally Mann. After the film, she and Philip Brookman talked and answered questions.

Sally Mann was one of the photographers that sparked my interest early on in my photographic endeavors. I think a lot of what inspired me about her photography was that it always seemed so natural, even her possed shots never seem stiff.

The questions following the film seemed a little strange to me. not really the questions themselves. But rather watching an in depth documentary about a person, then having them right there in front of the same audience. Everyone in the crowd knew about her, but we're still just a crowd of strangers.

your writing is very redundant. you have person and personal and rather twice, all in the same sentence.

plus, you should avoid events where people see you as strangers, they are pretentious.
