Moving Pt. 2

While I was home getting things to bring back to my apartment, I was able to see my friend Paolo between his move up from Florida, and upcoming move to Canada.

Susan's birthday was yesterday. She sang Karaoke. Happy birthday Susan.

Guitars

My friend D'Orazio, along with bouncing at Dukes, builds guitars. When I was in Springfield last weekend, I brought back some of his guitars to photograph for him.

Moving Pt. 1

I went up to Philly this weekend to move stuff back to DC for my apartment, and for fathers day. I was able to catch the last night of the Italian Festival in Wilmington while I was there, and visit D'Orazio while he was bouncing at Duke's.

Festival of the Photograph Pt. 2

The rest of the Festival of the Photograph was interesting. Ashley Gilbertson's presentation of his work from Iraq gave an interesting account of what working as a photographer in Iraq is like. Eugene Richards presentation of his work was interesting and the work itself was phenomenal. The slide show conclusion of the festival was filled with great work, but the audio that accompanied the images was often distracting.

Festival of the Photograph Pt. 1

Susan and I drove down to Charlottesville yesterday for the start of the Festival of the Photograph. Last night was the talk with William Albert Allard, which was really interesting. Afterwards we met with a bunch of other photographers from DC and hung out for a bit before driving back.
