17th Street Entrance to The Corcoran
Thursday, April 9, 2009 at 5:06PM I got a last minute assignment to get a few updated images of the 17th Street entrance to The Corcoran yesterday. Starting today the roof of The Corcoran will be undergoing restoration, and the entrance will be blocked by scaffolding. I shot a similar image of the Corcoran last year prior to cleaning of the facade, and it was used in a lot of their literature.
Corcoran Student Awards Ceremony
Saturday, April 4, 2009 at 6:28PM This past Tuesday were the annual student awards at The Corcoran. It was a little calmer than in years past, but was still fun to shoot. The top photo was shot with a remote camera I set up in the back of the auditorium. It was my first attempt at remote photography, and it I'm fairly happy with how it went. I learned some things to do differently next time, so it was a worthwhile experiment.
Cherry Blossoms in Washington
Thursday, April 2, 2009 at 7:10PM I shot the Cherry blossoms the other day. It was the first time I've really gone to see and photograph them in the six years that I've lived in Washington.
