Corporate Work - Clips

The Corcoran re-designed their gallery and college websites about a year ago, and their image needs changed with the new website.  The new layout of the website use a lot of narrow horizonal images, and I've been shooting with that in mind.

The clip below is from the Corcoran's monthly newsletter that has a similar need for long horizontal images. The image is a panorama of the 2010 Corcoran Ball.  If you look close you can see the video camera for the Time lapse , clamped on the right side of the second floor railing.

Video - Corcoran Ball Time lapse

My time lapse video of the Corcoran Ball went off without any major problems.  My video camera recorded a half second of tape every 30 seconds for sixty hours.  The final video shows the first load at 5:00am on thursday morning, through the last clean up in the early morning hours on Saturday.

Corporate Photography - Corcoran Ball Panorama

This past Friday my assignment was to make images of a few key rooms at The Corcoran that they rent out for events.  The Corcoran Ball was Friday night and the galleries and other open spaces were jammed packed with tables and other decorations for the event.  I shot mostly standard shots showing the space and setups, but I also tried my hand at making a few panorama's. Two of them are below.

Video - Time Lapse of the Corcoran Ball (Setup)

This coming Friday night is the Annual Corcoran Ball. The gallery (and parts of the college) shut down for Thursday and Friday to set up for the event.

Yesterday evening I set up a video camera to  shoot a time lapse of the setup and ball.  The camera will shoot half a second of footage every thirty seconds, for 60 Hours.  The tape should be able to get the full two days of set up as well as the the ball itself.

Below is an image of the setup, the video should stop at about 6:00am on Saturday morning, a few hours after the decorations for the ball are taken down.

If all goes well, I'll be posting the completed time lapse next week.
