Wedding Photography - Alison and Leon

A few weekends ago I shot Alison and Leon's wedding with my girlfriend (and fellow photographer) Jacqulyn Maisonneuve.  We arrived a few hours prior to the ceremony, and I covered Leon and his groomsmen while Jackie photographed Alison and her bridesmaids.

It was great to be able to work with Jackie, and cover both the Bride and Groom's perspective of the day fully.

Wedding Photography - Jana and Kevin at Hotel Palomar

I recently photographed Jana and Kevin's wedding at the Hotel Palomar near Dupont Circle in DC.  Jana and Kevin were both great to photograph because it was obvious that they both loved being together.  They were relaxed and comfortable with me photographing them, and with the events of the day.

Wedding Photography - Erin and Ryan at the Oak Ridge Estate

Updated on Wednesday, June 23, 2010 at 8:52PM by Registered CommenterDenny

I recently photographed Erin and Ryan's wedding at the Oak Ridge estate in Virginia.  I met Erin a few years ago at The Corcoran, and she contacted me about photographing her wedding after she was a guest at another wedding I photographed.  Erin and Ryan were great to photograph because they were very natural around my camera, and I think they had a great time with each other at their wedding.

Wedding Contact Sheet

This past summer I upgraded my scanner to one that can handle 4x5 film.  I recently discovered that along with the ability to scan my 4x5's , it can also help me create substitute contact sheets for any 35mm film I shoot. These have been very helpful in determining what and what not to scan.

The below is a scan of negatives from Joel and Chelsie's wedding.  Normally I only shoot digitally at weddings with a few sheets of 4x5 film thown in.  At this wedding I shot a few rolls of 35mm to go along with the rest of what I shot.

Joel and Chelsie's Wedding

Before my life as a photographer, I studied aerospace engineering briefly at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University in Daytona Beach, FL. I was there for two years, and did more math than I ever hope to do again. I didn't like the engineering part of my time in Florida, but I did meet a few interesting people while I was there. My friend Joel was one of the first people I met when I moved in, and he was just married last weekend. Joel and Chelsie's wedding was one of the most relaxed weddings I've been to.
