Education Photography - Intern at the Smithsonian National Museum of Natural History

One of the most iconic parts of the Smithsonian is the stuffed elephant in the atrium of the National Museum of Natural History.  Recently I was asked to photograph a Pomona College student who was interning at the museum. We had two locations to work with, one was the main atrium with the elephant, and the other was a lab specific to her internship.  In the second photograph you can see part of my lighting setup. My talented assistant Matt DeBruycker holding an LED for a rim light and out of frame to camera right is a Elinchrom quadra.
