Non-Profit Photography - the Innocence Project
I recently photographed an man being released from jail due to the efforts of the Mid-Atlantic Innocence Project. Mr. Burner had been wrongfully imprisoned for25 years for a crime he did not commit.
This may have been the most emotional event I’ve photographed in a long time. There was a crowd of family, well-wishers, and lawyers present to celebrate his release. His mother was by far the most excited to see his release. She waited outside the jail for many hours to be there when he got out.
The work that they do is so important to those who are wrongfully imprisoned. I urge everyone to donate to this worthy cause.
